HOQ The Doot Patrol Devlog


Hello guys and welcome to the first Dev of own new game prototype "Hall oof QueenZ"

there is a lot of information to help you and help us to make this game more concret, including of course some references and concept art.

-First of all "The Prototype looking for":

If you can see there is already an "Stage" and an "Battle" layout, Both of them are diferents functionalitty and diferent events for each one, we can see together there is a "Player" on the center, the Yellow cube is the camera, the number of the top is the "NighTime" that we will talk about later, Left of the screen we have the Characters prototype names and HP (Life points), don't miss the red cube representing the enemy on the stage, up of the screen we can see two figures really similar to the player... Yes! they are the other characters.

-Lets go now with the "NighTime" mechanic:

The "NighTime" is a global variable that constantly is decreasing and if that number reach to "0" it means to the player "Game Over", carefull with that cursed time aproached to 5 minutes in real life (5 Minutes of Stage gameplay).

-We implement the "Radar" Mechanic or Mini-Map:

The enemies and Player are located to the Radar sreen down bellow, the green cross represents the player position and of course the red are the enemies on the field.

-Now its time to the "Characters Life point" and prototype names to them:

As you guys can see there are implemented the HP mechanic and the Life point bar, showing to us the percentage of characters HP and the characters level too.

-There is the other Characters but more close:

That character over there is using a Hat, how elegant he is don't you think?

Certainly this is a "Prototype" to the main characters, this isn't the final art to them.

-The "Battle Screen" is already implemented but is not over yet:


Enlisted we have: Attack/ Skill/ Potion/ Check/ Charge/ and Defend/. This elements are so recognizable and similar to RPG games since these are the escence of that genre.

-Like all of the RPG games, we need an "Enemy Selection" to kick ass:


That red-white cube will blink when you're selecting an enemy to attack, that make you take a desicion before you steal his life points.

-The "Information Register" will show us when the actual character is attacking or receiving damage:


This is so usefull to check the record of your actions, who knows? when you get hitted by an enemie and you don't know for who.
